I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about doing another online order because when I did my 3rd dan, I didn't like it. Granted, I got it embroidered for pretty cheap, but granted, I was a college student then and couldn't rub two pennies together, let alone a dollar. For my 4th, I searched my local area to find someone to do my 4th because my online efforts last time didn't go well. Nothing! Till I was told to check out Kataaro, at my local gym. I did my homework, and since I am not a college student and can rub two dollars together now, I gave it a shot. It's more than I've ever paid, thinking of when I got my 2nd dan that was done at a local place long ago in a galaxy far away. Which looked fantastic. This one from Kataaro was indeed worth it when I finally received it. Shout out to Jodi for being patient and quick with my proofs, and when I received the belt, the craftsmanship was fantastic. Since this was my first time, I was curious to know how it would look and feel overall. With that, I only had two very minor things. One is the belt feels a bit more plasticky than what I'm used to, but it could be because this is my first time getting a "deluxe" brushed cotton, and I've got something else over the many years. Maybe after I break this in, it will feel a lot better. The second thing is the overall size of the lettering. Perhaps it's me, but the lettering is just a bit too big. Not at all a deal breaker. Now that I know, I will ask if the lettering could be 1 size smaller when I order my 2nd one. Yes, you read that correctly. I will be ordering another one when I lose some excess mass and when this one becomes too big or I have the fortune of going for my 5th.

Got my Kataaro Belt a whole day ahead of schedule, and I have to say...I. Love. It! It feels so much more wholesome than any of the other cheapie “made in china” belts I’ve worn, and definitley looks better by comparison. I opted to get a 1.75in “single wrap” option so I could practice with less discomfort compared to my traditional 2in “double wrap” belt which is rather stiff and heavy. Love the craftsmanship, and I will definitley buy again and see if I can’t turn some of my companions to Kataaro as well!

I was very impressed with the customer service throughout the process and the quality of the finished product is phenomenal. I recieved my belt around 8 months ago and after the first 2 months it started fading. It is worn down and has fading on the sides. It hasn't been roughly handled either. For a black belt i was expecting it to be very good quality, but was disappointed.

The Kataaro belt is the absolute highest quality belt I have found. My opinion is that a mediocre "warehouse stock" belt does not accurately represent the blood, sweat and tears that go into earning the title of Black Belt. The belt arrived today and boy, is she beautiful. Also, wow...stiff really means stiff. It is the perfect length and the width looks great on me. You have a very happy customer. Also, I thought you should know that usually the first thing I did with a new belt was remove the branding label. I really appreciate that the Kataaro label is small and subtle. i have decided to leave the Kataaro label on the belt...this is the first time I have ever left a brand label on. Received my obi today and I wanted to say, AWESOME!!!. The quality, workmanship, and fit are absolutely fantastic. The brushed cotton, soft is amazing. I had my belt done by Kataaro and it came out fantastic. All the stitching was above board and clean. The embroidered logo was not only neat it was legible.
